Installing extra php module

In solaris make sure that autoconf and autom4te this two utilities exists.

export the path usually /usr/local/bin

1. go to source directory from where u want to add the extra module

$ phpize (determine the location of phpize first)

$./configure

$ make

#make install

Then add the following 2 lines in php.ini file

extension_dir = “/usr/local/php/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613”(If already define no need).

extension=<ModuleName>.so

N.B. In case of zlib u may not find the config.m4 file. In that case just cp the config01.m4 as config.m4.

N.B. What else if configure scripts does not exists. Then simply run autoconf.
